Residence: Tra Noi Ensemble at the Quartier des Artistes

Les Arts Florissants and Stradivaria - orchestre baroque de Nantes share a common desire: to give impetus to a new generation of Baroque artists, by supporting them in their professionalization.

This year, the two institutions have joined forces to offer a residency in Thiré (Vendée, Pays de la Loire) to the Swiss ensemble Tra Noi, winner of the 2024 Concours International de Musique Ancienne du Val de Loire (CIMA). Aimed at young instrumental ensembles, this competition, organized by Stradivaria and presided over by William Christie, offers prizewinners a residency, masterclasses and two concerts in the Pays de la Loire region.

During their residency from January 16 to 20, 2025, the musicians of Tra Noi were invited to Thiré for a concert open to the village's residents, followed by four days at the Quartier des Artistes (the international cultural campus of Les Arts Florissants), where they had the opportunity to perfect their skills with Sébastien Marq, flagship flautist of the ensemble created by William Christie. At the end of their residency, they were invited to perform in concert at the Chapelle de l'Immaculée in Nantes, as part of Stradivaria's “les apartés” cultural season.

Bravo to these talented young musicians!
