Programmes for young gardeners
All year round, the Fondation Les Arts Florissants - William Christie welcomes gardeners and landscape gardeners to train or perfect their skills in the exceptional setting of the Thiré gardens, in the Vendée.

Recognised as "remarkable gardens" and listed in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments, William Christie’s Gardens are a unique place in the world. In recent years, the Fondation Les Arts Florissants - William Christie has also developed and maintained several parks and gardens in the Artists' Quarter, thus extending the total surface area of its green spaces to more than 18 hectares.
For gardeners, working at Thiré represents an exceptional experience, during which they are invited to develop not only the excellence of their technical skills, but also their knowledge of the history of art and gardens as well as their reflection on landscape creation. The Foundation's mission of passing on can also lead the gardeners exchanging with the public, during the opening of the Gardens and public workshops.
In addition, the Gardens of Thiré are a marvelous "training ground" for agricultural high school students.
