Countertenor Hugh Cutting belongs to the avant-garde of a new generation of Baroque singers. Revealed by William Christie and his Jardin des Voix academy, whose tenth edition in 2021 he took part in as Arsace in Handel's opera Partenope, this young British singer has already established himself as one of the great names in this spectacular tessitura, whose triumphant high notes, particularly prized in the Baroque period, inspired composers to write some of their most brilliant works.
