Ariodante on the big screen

For the very first time, Les Arts Florissants is coming to the cinema! An emotional encounter in the movie theater, for an experience at the heart of music...

The opera Ariodante is often considered one of Baroque composer Handel's greatest masterpieces. But in addition to its unforgettable “hits”, the plot is as rich as a Hollywood script: passionate love, betrayal, injustice, despair... and even a happy ending!

Buoyed by this conviction, director Frédéric Savoir and producer Lucy Allwood followed Les Arts Florissants and William Christie as they produced the opera at the Philharmonie de Paris. The result is a musical film of astonishing quality, allowing us to experience opera in a convivial atmosphere, as close as possible to the artists - and, above all, to the emotion.

A tour of previews of this film is planned from May 2025 in cinemas in the Vendée - Pays de la Loire region.
