Oscillating between contemporary dance and waacking, this twirling, highly musical show, featuring top-notch artists, sets in motion a journey through the history of the concerto, centered around emblematic pieces by Vivaldi and Bach.

Performed by the ensemble Les Arts Florissants, under the expert guidance of violinist and conductor Théotime Langlois de Swarte, the musical anthology composed for Concerto Danzante revolves around the concertos of Vivaldi and Bach - the project's aim being to offer a danced journey through the history of concerto. The translation into dance generates two distinct yet complementary creations, both produced by CCN-Ballet de Lorraine. The first, by Josépha Madoki, a leading figure in waacking (urban dance with a strong theatrical edge), is based on Vivaldi, and gives rise to an unexpectedly lively dialogue. Developed by Maud Le Pladec, the second - based on Bach - creates a powerful internal dynamic between contemporary dance and Baroque music, striving for the very essence of concerto.

The concert on Sunday June 7 at 4pm is part of the Relax inclusive program. It aims to provide a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, based on acceptance of the reactions and behaviors of each spectator, whatever their needs (people with intellectual or cognitive disabilities, multiple disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, autism, mental disorders, etc.). The codes in the auditorium are relaxed, allowing audiences to experience their emotions to the full, and to exit or re-enter the auditorium as they please.

If you would like to benefit from Relax support from trained reception staff, please contact us by telephone on +33 (0)1 44 84 44 84 or by e-mail at accessibilite@philharmoniedeparis.fr. A needs assessment form will be sent to you.
