Julien GazeauWilliam Christie and Les Arts Florissants will perform at the Coups de Coeur Festival in Chantilly for three shows on October 10 and 11, 2026. Each concert will feature a different program, highlighting Baroque repertoire and the talents of guest artists.
- SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2025, 5 PM : The Fairy Queen, Purcell
Inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Purcell's The Fairy Queen transports us into a magical world where dreams, love, and enchantment intertwine through arias and dances. Premiered in London in 1692, this semi-opera brings together some of the composer's most beautiful music, combining musical virtuosity with theatrical flair.
This production, conducted by William Christie, features the young singers of the Jardin des Voix and the musicians of Les Arts Florissants in a performance where music, dance, and poetry converge.
- SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2026, 11 AM: William Christie presents Bastien Rimondi
A young tenor to watch, Bastien Rimondi is already forging a strong career, from the Jardin des Voix to Europe's major stages. In this recital in Chantilly's Galerie de Peinture, he blends French Baroque arias with melodies by Poulenc, Hahn, and Massenet, balancing textual clarity with theatrical expression. Accompanied by William Christie on harpsichord, supported by stings and theorbo, he brings to life an intimate and direct repertoire.
- SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2026, 5 PM: Les recettes de l'Amour
This concert brings together three exceptional artists: William Christie, Léa Desandre and Thomas Dunford. The program, curated by the singer herself, explores love in all its forms: Baroque and French song, theatre, and opéra-comique, with flashes of brilliance, gentle irony, and heartfelt emotion. From Lully to Ravel, from Offenbach to Hahn, the music shifts moods like turning the pages of a book of feelings. In Chantilly's warm acoustics, love takes on new colors.
