Le Jardin des Voix 9th - La finta giardiniera

There is no longer any need to introduce the Jardin des Voix : it has become an not-to-be-missed rendez-vous for both the public keen to discover the futur voices of tomorrow, and for programmers seeking out young stars to enage off-the-bat on the international stage : let’s not forget Sonya Yoncheva, Lea Desandre, Marc Mauillon and Christophe Dumaux were all, at the beginning of their careers, the first fruits gathered in this flourishing garden.

For the 9th session, and for the 40th birthday of Les Arts Forissants, the Academy has chosen to present the new harvest not in a collection of opera extracts, but for the first time in the interpretation of a full opera : La Finta Giardiniera written by Mozart when he was 18 years old - even younger than our young singers themselves ! 

For a programme called the Jardin des Voix (or Garden of Voices) the choice of the « False Gardiner » is no coincidence, especially as it will be premiered in the gardens of William Christie in the Vendée region in the west of France.  And to finish the whole evening off, Sophie Daneman will sign a semi staging of the show to bring the story to life !
