Christmas polyphonies in Fontevraud Abbey

Always a highlight of the holiday season, Les Arts Florissants return to the Fontevraud Abbey church for another journey into Christmas polyphony.

In the Christian tradition, the birth of Jesus is both the founding event and the heart of the liturgical year. For centuries, it has inspired a rich musical repertoire, a veritable treasure trove that has been continually enriched over the ages.

Designed for the majestic setting of the abbey church of Fontevraud, this concert will allow the voices to resonate in all their purity and power, without instrumental accompaniment. A unique encounter between the magic of Christmas and the timeless emotion of polyphonic singing.
