American Garden
While references to French, Italian and English gardens predominate, here is a nod to William Christie's American origins! The gaze is instantly struck by the wooden constructions that decorate and structure this space; here, too, the musician-gardener showcases artisan trades in the Arts & Crafts spirit.

The American Garden, in William Christie's words:
My former gardener, Thierry Morosini, wanted to pay tribute to my American roots by using only species native to North America in this garden. Over 60 plant varieties ensure a garden that is constantly in bloom from spring until the first fall frosts. The American garden culminates at its lower end in a wooden Arts and Crafts-style shed roofed in old tiles, which I designed myself.
