The Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie

Every summer since 2012, Les Arts Florissants and the Département de la Vendée have joined forces to propose a unique event, combining the pleasure of music and the beauty of the gardens... in William Christie's Gardens.

It is in Thiré (Vendée, Pays de la Loire), in his idyllic gardens, that the conductor William Christie planned to make a dream come true: to combine music, gardens and heritage over the course of an unforgettable artistic event, for the public as well as for the artists. 

A festival highlighting youth and discovery

Each year, the public is invited to discover little-known works from the baroque repertoire, exceptional plants... but also talented young artists at the start of their career, whom the festival honours alongside the confirmed artists of Les Arts Florissants! 

Proximity and wonderment

The public is placed at the heart of the festival. Over the course of one week, festival-goers are invited to immerse themselves in the music and the spirit of the baroque, in close proximity to the artists, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere... that is conducive to wonderment.
