To open this 11th edition of the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie, Paul Agnew offers a delightful program devoted to one of the most famous composers of all times: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Although the British tenor and conductor has become famous for his interpretations of Monteverdi, Bach and Purcell, this is only the second time (after La finta giardiniera in 2019) that he will conduct Mozart at the head of Les Arts Florissants. For the occasion, he will assemble Mozart's symphonies and arias in a program tailor-made for an exceptional performer: the mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, winner of the Jardin des Voix (the academy for young singers of Les Arts Florissants) revealed to the Festival audience in 2017.
