Les Arts Florissants offers concerts designed specifically for kids, based on themes related to one of the season's works. Guided by the conductor through a participative listening experience, children immerse themselves in the libretto and discover the composer's world.

2014-2015 Family Concert

The Arts Florissants offered 2 family concerts during the 2014-2015 season.

The Voyage of Monsieur Monteverdi: from the Renaissance to the Baroque era

The Voyage of Monsieur Monteverdi: from the Renaissance to the Baroque erawas presented in Argentan, Caen and Paris in May 2015.

Designed as a entertaining experience for listeners of all ages, the concert used words and music to describe the revolutionary musical route taken by Monteverdi's music from a cappella polyphonic singing to singing accompanied by instrumental ensemble.

Les Fêtes vénitiennes told to Children

In February 2015, the Arts Florissants performed a 1 hour educational concert for ages 8 and up, to mark the production of Fêtes vénitiennes at the Opéra Comique in Paris.  Using excerpts from the work, set analysis and explanations on the historical context of the opera, audiences were led into a festive world of celebrations and carnivals.


2013-2014 Family Concerts

Platée told to Children

To mark the production of Rameau's Platée at the Opéra Comique in Paris, the Arts Florissants performed a 1 hour educational concert for ages 8 and up, designed to bring the audience into the world of Rameau’s unique comic opera and meet its emblematic characters.
