Educational path in South Vendée: Handel, the European!
This year, the schoolchildren taking part in our educational path in South Vendée are discovering Handel, with singer and director Sophie Daneman!
After Purcell and Vivaldi, this year's discovery tour offered by Les Arts Florissants to schools in the South Vendée region is devoted to Handel. Who was this composer? How can we understand his music and, above all, how can we make it our own in order to appreciate it as much as possible?
Singer and director Sophie Daneman invites schoolchildren to this discovery, alongside Arts Flo musicians. First, through musical practice workshops; then by accompanying them to an opera: Handel's Partenope, conducted by Paul Agnew! For the occasion, the Angers Nantes Opera team offered the pupils the opportunity to discover what goes on behind the scenes of the performances...
And to top it all off, a public performance will allow these young music lovers to step onto the stage, on June 3, 2022 at 6pm at the Salle des Silènes in La Châtaigneraie!
