Getting ready for the autumn term at the Quartier des Artistes
This fall, three international residency programs will take place one after another at Les Arts Florissants’ cultural and artistic campus in Thiré (Vendée), featuring artists from Canada, Ukraine, and the Netherlands...
For once, three different residency programs are taking place almost simultaneously this fall on our Quartier des Artistes campus:
September 28 through October 3: Vocal master class with Paul Agnew focusing on the works of John Dowland, designed for young Canadian artists nearing the end of their studies. In partnership with the Toronto music conservatories.
September 14 through October 12: Artist-in-residence program featuring Ukrainian artists Nataliia Korovitska (baroque mandolin and guitar) and Olga Zhukova (harpsichord). This residency is part of the “Odyssée/Nora” program, which provides a home for foreign artists whose creative freedom and ability to work are hindered or made difficult by the political situation in their home countries.
October 5–12: Artist-in-residence program featuring the Il Parrasio ensemble, a finalist in the 2024 edition of the Val de Loire International Early Music Competition (CIMA) and supported by the EEEmerging program.
We're thrilled to have them here!
Each of these residencies will culminate in a concert, open primarily to village residents, volunteers, and the educational and community partners of Les Arts Florissants, as well as their students or beneficiaries. For more information: aderuyter@arts-florissants.org
