Visit the Gardens of William Christie

Come and visit this enchanting garden, imagined from scratch by French-American conductor William Christie and listed on the Inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques!

The Gardens are accessible to people with limited mobility within a restricted area (see the map).
 

Opening:

Gardens are open from March 18 to August 2 and from September 9 to 27, 2026

Opening hours:
10:30 AM - 5:30 PM (last entrance at 4:30 PM)
open Wednesday to Sunday 

Guided tours: 
Visit starts at 11 AM
Only on Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as Saturdays March 21, April 25, May 30, and June 27, 2026 (except on May 1 and 8, and on June 12)

Note: On April 25 and 26, 2026, holders of concert tickets for the Festival de Printemps - Les Arts Florissants will be granted free admission to the Gardens. Guided tours will be offered on an exceptional basis at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM on these days, at no additional cost.

Entrance fee:

Admission to the Gardens: 

• full price: € 7 
• for people with restricted mobility and residents of the village of Thiré (tickets available only at the Garden entrance upon presentation of proof of eligibility): 6 €
• free for under-12s 

Admission with guided tour (subject to availability): 

• full price: € 11 
• free for under-12s

New for 2026: The chance to visit William Christie's Gardens as often as you like—and to share this special place with your loved ones!

• 20 € 
• unlimited access to the William Christie Gardens during public opening hours for the current year
• Reduced rate (€6) for accompanying guests, limited to 5 people per visit

Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the Gardens or online (the "Pass" can only be picked up at the entrance to the Gardens on the day of your first visit, upon presentation of proof of purchase and a valid ID).

Willam Christie's Gardens welcomes groups for guided tours upon request only and depending on availability.

Garden Rules: 

Smoking is prohibited in the Garden. Animals are not allowed in the Gardens. Picnics are not permitted in the Gardens. Children must remain under the supervision of accompanying adults.

Please note: 

There are no freely accessible drinking fountains in the Gardens. To avoid any inconvenience, especially during hot weather, be sure to bring a bottle of water and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
