Every afternoon during the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie, the artists of Les Arts Florissants invite you to the idyllic setting of the Jardins de William Christie and the Quartier des Artistes, for a unique experience combining the beauty of nature and the pleasures of music!
Fair-weather tickets will be put on sale by our partner, the Département de la Vendée, on the day of the event, as soon as the weather permits to ensure that it can be held outdoors.

Visit William Christie's Gardens
Specialists and lovers of William Christie's Gardens invite you to discover this "remarkable garden", listed as a historic monument, during guided tours specially designed for the Festival. A way to grasp the spirit of this fascinating and eclectic place, imagined from scratch by the conductor... and which promises new surprises every year.
Singing workshop with Sophie Daneman
Singer/director Sophie Daneman invites children, teenagers and adults to discover Baroque music, and to sing along! Come and join the Jardins' most regular singers: birds...
Crossed conversations *
Novelist and French academician Erik Orsenna reunites with art historian Henry-Claude Cousseau for a conversation in which the two men of culture invite the public to follow the wanderings of their thoughts, on the themes of music, art and, of course, gardens.

The Memoirs of Casanova: a dancing discovery
Dancer Pierre-François Dollé takes festival-goers on a stroll through the parks and gardens of the Quartier des Artistes, where they can discover curiosities from Baroque history... while learning a few dance steps.

Concerts in the gardens – Musical Promenades
An emblematic rendezvous of the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie, these short concerts explore the different areas of the Gardens, while inviting the audience to discover musical repertoires or little-known pieces, selected by the performers themselves. An unforgettable experience, with a unique proximity between audience and performers!
This year, flautist Sébastien Marq has been given carte blanche to create a program of short concerts to close the afternoons in the Gardens..
Every afternoon from 2.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Discovery workshop "Bees and honey"
Throughout the afternoon, children and their parents are invited to discover the fabulous work of bees, tireless and necessary workers for William Christie's Gardens... and to whom we also owe that delicious food: honey!

The Honey Plant Garden
Open from 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm
5pm-5.45pm: guided tour
Since 2019, gardener and botanist Baptiste Pierre has been invited each year to the Festival to create an ephemeral vegetable garden right in the center of the village of Thiré. After tomatoes, lettuces, peppers, eggplants and aromatic plants, this year, melliferous plants will be in the spotlight, in this landscaped creation designed as a flora discovery ground at the heart of the bees' work. Guided tours will be led by Baptiste Pierre, and are open to all.
Degustation by Distillerie du Tigre
5.45pm-7pm
Located in the village of Thiré, the Distillerie du Tigre is offering a degustation of its local artisanal products at the end of the guided tour of the Honey Plant Garden (Clos des Plantes mellifères). Distillerie take-away sales during the tasting. Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume in moderation.
