Tribute to Florence Malgoire
Violinist Florence Malgoire, who passed away too soon on August 11, left her mark on the history of the Les Arts Florissants orchestra, where she served as concertmaster for many years. To pay tribute to her memory, William Christie and Paul Agnew are dedicating two Festival performances to her.
On August 24, 2023, performances at the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie will be dedicated to Florence Malgoire:
- Titon et l'Aurore public dress rehearsal (direction William Christie)
- "Bach et la grande audition de Leipzig" candlelit concert (direction Paul Agnew)
All the artists and staff of Les Arts Florissants wholeheartedly associate themselves with this tribute to this great artist: we will not forget her.
