Since 2021, Les Arts Florissants has been offering a training program specially designed for young musicians: the Arts Flo Masterclasses, led by William Christie and Paul Agnew in the heart of the Quartier des Artistes, the cultural and artistic center of Les Arts Florissants in Thiré (Vendée, Pays de la Loire).

Arts Flo Masterclass #5: Viola da gamba

October 29-31, 2022

Through two and a half days of musical practice in a small group, Myriam Rignol, a well-known performer of Les Arts Florissants, offers instrumentalists the opportunity to study the repertoire for solo viola da gamba, as well as to work on the specificities of consort interpretation.

Through four days of ensemble music practice, William Christie proposes a moment of encounter and dialogue between musicians on the theme of French Baroque music, and in particular that of Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
