Benoît HARTOIN, Harpsichord and organ
The Concerts & Café are an emblematic event of the Festival de Printemps. The concept is simple: an artist from Les Arts Florissants offers to discover a work during a short concert, before sharing a coffee with the audience.
Harpsichordist and organist Benoît Hartoin is a faithful collaborator of Les Arts Florissants, with whom he has accompanied numerous productions for nearly twenty years as continuo player. In this program, entitled "Untimely Death," he invites us to rediscover the works of Baroque composers whose dazzling career was interrupted by a premature death: Purcell, who died at the age of 36, but also his contemporaries Alessandro Stradella, Louis Couperin and even... Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The Etrillard Foundation supports the Concerts & Café of the Spring Festival.
Because it is a source of inspiration for each generation, the Etrillard Foundation highlights the relevance of our European cultural heritage in the contemporary world, by participating in the preservation of exceptional sites, encouraging the transmission of knowledge and supporting cultural rediscovery, thus promoting creativity and audacity in support of emotion and sharing.
