Opening concert at the Paris Philharmonie
To celebrate the inauguration of Paris’s brand-new Philharmonie, Les Arts Florissants have chosen emblematic large-scale works by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (Te Deum), Jean-Cassanéa de Mondonville (In exitu Israel), and Jean-Philippe Rameau (“Les Sauvages” from Les Indes galantes). Mixing opera and religious works, the program promises to bring out all the acoustic splendor of the new concert hall. In this, their core repertory, Les Arts Florissants will be accompanied by Danielle de Niese, Rachel Redmond, Katherine Watson, Reinoud Van Mechelen, Marcel Beekman, Elliot Madore, Marc Mauillon, and Laurent Naouri.
Les Arts Florissants will celebrate the inauguration of the Philharmonie with the support of Banque Hottinguer and the Selz Foundation.
