Concerts tribute to Kader Hassissi
William Christie, Paul Agnew and Les Arts Florissants were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of Kader Hassissi, co-director of the Beaune International Baroque Opera Festival.
A great friend of Les Arts Florissants and a lover of baroque music, Kader Hassissi founded the Beaune Festival 40 years ago with Anne Blanchard. Since then, he has invited Les Arts Florissants every year, thus forging a particularly strong bond with the Ensemble, its musicians and its musical directors.
Our thoughts are with Anne Blanchard today, as well as with the team and the public of the Beaune Festival.
As the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie begins tomorrow in Thiré, William Christie and Paul Agnew have decided to dedicate their concerts on the Miroir d'eau to their faithful friend Kader Hassissi.
