'Monteverdi, du profane au sacré' live from the Philharmonie de Paris
On February 17, 2021 at 8:30pm, our new concert "Monteverdi, du profane au sacré" was broadcasted live from the Philharmonie de Paris. It is still time to enjoy it on replay and on air, thanks to Philharmonie Live and France Musique radio!
Once again, music persisting against all odds!
Undeterred by the postponement of the tour of Book VI of the Gesualdo Madrigals, Paul Agnew and Les Arts Florissants have concocted a new concert program for this month: "Monteverdi, du profane au sacré". This original exploration of Monteverdi’s music focuses on the shift from secular eroticism to the scared repertoire, in a concert adapted to current circumstances so that we can share it with as many of you as possible:
- February 17, 2021 - 8.30pm: Concert performed behind closed doors and broadcast live from the Philharmonie de Paris on Philharmonie Live and on the Les Arts Florissants and Philharmonie de Paris Facebook pages (recorded by France Musique)
- February 23, 2021 - 7.30pm: Public performance at Auditorio Nacional de Musica de Madrid
- March 9, 2021 - 8pm: Radio broadcast on France Musique
