Following the success of the renovation of the Salle de Bal, the Fondation Les Arts Florissants - William Christie and the Fondation du patrimoine are renewing their partnership by launching a new fund-raising campaign, dedicated to the restoration of another building in the Quartier des Artistes: the Maison au Palmier. A new chapter begins!
Now that the Salle de Bal has just been inaugurated, a page has been turned in the history of the Quartier des Artsites... and a new chapter has begun.
In the heart of the village of Thiré (Vendée, Pays de la Loire), the international campus of Les Arts Florissants has recently gained a new building: the Maison au Palmier. This old house, whose architectural origins undoubtedly date back to the 15th or 16th century, will soon be offering new accommodation for artists in creative and working residencies throughout the year.
But to achieve this, major structural work is required. A fundraising campaign has therefore been launched, in partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine, to raise the sum of 150,000 euros to help finance the restoration.
By helping to make the Quartier des Artistes even more welcoming and functional, this renovation is fully in line with the project of the Fondation Les Arts Florissants - William Christie, not only to promote the creation and transmission of the Baroque spirit (through residencies, masterclasses, workshops) but also to protect and revitalize the rural heritage of the Vendée.
You too can be part of the adventure!
