Opening of the artists' common room: the Maison In Terra Pax

This Saturday, August 27th, 2022, on the final day of the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie, we had the honor of inaugurating In Terra Pax, the new artists' common room. Initiated in 2019, work on this brand-new project was completed at the beginning of this Festival in order to welcome musicians and singers in a tranquil and friendly space. The common room fulfils the needs of artists and gives them a place to relax during their free time.

Designed by architects Olivier Dugast and Patricia Jaunet, the space has a grand piano; a number of tables to enjoy a drink or to work; sofas; a large, functional kitchen; as well as many built-in cupboards whose optimization allows for a large, warm, and welcoming space. Artists can also enjoy the sun on the large terrace that overlooks the Garden of Islands, a landscaped area open year-round to the public. The brightness of In Terra Pax, made possible by its large windows, adds depth to the main room and enhances the wooden furniture, evoking nature and the gardens that are so essential to the Foundation's project.
