Paul Agnew at the Ambronay Festival

On September 17, Paul Agnew is the guest of the famous Ambronay Festival, for a day of concerts dedicated to two essential composers of German music: Heinrich Schütz and Johann Sebastian Bach!

For the opening weekend of the Ambronay Festival, Paul Agnew and the artists of Les Arts Florissants are invited to give two exceptional concerts in the majestic setting of Ambronay Abbey:

3 pm: Schütz – Italian Madrigals

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Heinrich Schütz's death, Paul Agnew pays tribute to the composer by performing his madrigals directly inspired by Italian Baroque music.
