An all-digital Festival de Printemps (Spring Festival) 2021!
The Festival de Printemps (Spring Festival) returns this year in a special format for these unusual times!
In this year of exceptional circumstances, the Département of Vendée and Les Arts Florissants invite you to an all-digital Festival de Printemps (Spring Festival), so that as many of you as possible can attend, remotely, from wherever you are in the world. The program features a series of concerts broadcast live from the churches of southern Vendée, presenting the sacred music of the most flamboyant of Baroque composers: the Venetian, Antonio Vivaldi.
- April 23 at 8pm: “Vivaldi, Bach – Stabat Mater” concert (cond. Paul Agnew) live from Luçon Cathedral
- April 24 at 8pm: “Vivaldi Vespers” concert (cond. Paul Agnew) live from the Church of Chantonnay
- April 25 at 5:30pm: “Vivaldi, Pergolesi – Stabat Mater” concert (cond. William Christie) live from Luçon Cathedral
Broadcasts on YouTube (@Vendée - Le Département), Facebook (@lesartsflorissants and @CDVendee) and TV Vendée.
Plus, another new feature for this 2021 edition: “Coffee Hour at William's,” short musical videos shared at coffee hour by the Arts Florissants musicians… from William Christie’s home. Meet us on April 24 an 25 at 2pm on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
