Conference "Notarial Acts and Baroque Music"

March 23 2022

How did the notaries make it possible to revive Baroque music today? To find this out, come to the Club du Châtelet on 19 April for an exceptional conference with William Christie and the musicologist Catherine Massip!

On April 20, William Christie and Les Arts Florissants will perform for the very first time at the Sainte-Chapelle with a programme devoted to the music of Marc-Antoine Charpentier. In parallel with this event, the Club du Châtelet and the Chambre des Notaires de Paris, in partnership with Radio Classique, wanted to explore the links between the notary's office and the rediscovery of Baroque music - more specifically, that of Charpentier.

An original and fascinating angle to discover the work carried out by musicologists and musicians such as William Christie!
